Abstract
The combined influence of exchange interactions and random single ion anisotropies on the magnetic properties of amorphous rare earth alloys has been studied by a.c. susceptibility and magnetisation measurements on alloys with composition R2T (R = Gd, Tb, Y and T = Cu, Fe, Ni).
