PRESSURE EFFECT ON THE CURIE TEMPERATURE OF Gd1-xYxCo2

Abstract
The pressure effects of the Curie temperatures Tc of the intermetallic compounds Gd1-xYxCo2 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6) are studied at pressures up to 10 kbar. dTc / dP is negative for all the compounds. The results are discussed on the basis of exchange-enhanced paramagnetism model.
