EXTENDED ENERGY LOSS FINE STRUCTURE (EELFS) ABOVE THE CARBON K-EDGE IN CF4 STUDIED AT DIFFERENT MOMENTUM TRANSFERS

Abstract
Angle resolved EELFS on gas-phase CF4 is analyzed at scattering angle θ ranging from 5° to 50°. The extended fine structure at small and large θ are shown to be different. In the dipolar regime the steep behaviour of the background produces uncertainties in the data analysis which does not affect large angle spectra.
