RAMAN SCATTERING STUDY OF CORRELATION BETWEEN PHONONS AND ELECTRON SPINS IN CdS AND ZnTe UNDER RESONANCE CONDITION

Abstract
We have observed for excitation photon energy in resonance with the lowest gap of CdS and ZnTe, intense cooperative light scattering in which incident photons are scattered by an acoustic-/optical-phonon and by electron spins. From the result the interactions among the electron spins, the phonons, and the excitons are discussed.
