Abstract
Interfaces are classified by the parameter describing the interface and the structural features are discussed taking as examples recent works carried out in the author's laboratory. They are faulted interface in AlN, GaAs/AlAs superlattice, grain boundaries in SiC and superconducting oxides, ceramic-metal joined interface and nanocrystalline interfaces.
