Abstract
The internal friction (IF) behavior of metallic glasses Fe75.1-Ni3.0Mo1.6Si6.5B13.8 and (Fe0.6Ni0.4) 82Si8B10 is investigated. The results suggest that the activation energy of the internal friction of these metallic glasses is distributed in a continuous spectrum which interprets the change of IF with variation of frequency and the influences of pre-annealing and deformation on IF.
