Abstract
We discuss three related but distinct problems involving the dynamics of electronic excitations in crystals . The first concerns the optical dephasing by phonons of isolated impurities, the second concerns optical dephasing by impurity-impurity interactions , and the third involves quantum mechanical energy transport in a nearest-neighbor-interaction substitutionally disordered lattice -- quantum percolation.
