Abstract
Magnetization curves have been measured on YBa2Cu3O7-x single crystals of various size, and compared with other results published in the literature. The irreversible magnetization does not follow the scaling law predicted by the Bean model. We conclude that even the superconducting crystals contain normal barriers or weak links which limit the spatial scale of supercurrents.
