Abstract
The magnetic properties of ζ1 - Mn2.6Ge were studied on single crystals and also by neutron powder diffraction. The compound is antiferromagnetic below Tt = 125 K and above Tc = 225 K up to its Néel temperature 480 K, and is weakly ferromagnetic between Tt and Tc. The entropy change at Tt is 1.2 × 104 erg/gK
