INFLUENCE OF STOICHIOMETRY ON LOW-TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES OF UPt3

Abstract
We performed X-ray and resistivity experiments on polycrystalline UPt3+x samples. Only samples with Pt-excess are found to differ from UPt3 since these samples show extra unidentified lines in the X-ray spectrum and increased values for ρ0. All samples enter the superconducting state around 0.53 K.
