Abstract
Alloying effects of boron on UPt3 were investigated by electrical resistivity measurements. The parameters, ρ0 and A, which characterize the low temperature resistivity, where ρ(T) = ρ0 + AT2, are only little affected. After annealing, however, a marked decrease of ρ0 is observed. It is pointed out that the influence of boron on the heavy fermion state in UPt3 is different from other metallic impurities.
