Abstract
The high-field anomaly in antiferromagnetic heavy-fermion U (Pt0.95Pd0.05)3 has been investigated by means of magnetisation measurements up to 18 T. The metamagnetic-like transition (at ~ 12 T at T = 1.3 K, for a field in the basal plane) was found to be present up to ~ 15 K, i.e. a temperature well above the Néel temperature (TN = 5.8 K). The data taken on a single-crystalline sample, yield a magnetic anisotropy in the basal plane. The magnetic phase diagram is presented.
