Abstract
Lattice constants of both bcc and fcc Fe0.7Ni0.3 alloy have been measured at high pressure by X-ray diffraction method. It is suggested that the elastic anomaly of Invar alloy is originated not only from magnitude of magnetic moment but also from its stability or stiffness of magnetic moment.
