Abstract
The low temperature specific heat of the quasi-crystal AlMnSi is analysed as the sum of two contributions, a spin-glass state (3 % of the Mn sites) and a virtual bound states terms, but a large part of these non magnetic Mn sites carry a moment in a 7 tesla field.
