Abstract
The AlLi FCC L12 metastable phase diagram is modelized by an Ising hamiltonian of the alloy. A nearest neighbour interation V1 = 75 meV and a next nearest neighbour interaction V2 = -16 meV can explain the observed L12 antiphase energy and the observed FCC-L12 surface energy. The phase diagram obtained from these values is in reasonable agreement with the experiment. The differential scanning calorimetry anomalies observed in this system are explained by dynamical effects of the FCC/L12 unmixing process.
