Abstract
A series of internal friction peaks were measured from Fe-1.1 at% V wire specimens nitrogenated at 500°C to different nitrogen concentrations. Each of these curves was decomposed into three subpeaks by curve fitting through a computer program. Results were explained in terms of nitrogen diffusion in three types of defects.
