STUDY OF THE INITIAL STAGES OF AGEING IN MARTENSITE

Abstract
This paper reports on an investigation of the temperature dependence of the rate sensitivity parameter [Ɗσ/Ɗlogε]T in the asquenched martensite of two Fe-Ni-C alloys. The causes of the pronounced minima observed in these dependences are analysed. Further, the conditions governing the incidence to unstable flow on the stress-strain diagrams are defined and the areas where the Snoek and the Cottrell interactions predominate are determined.
