NEUTRON DIFFRACTION MEASUREMENTS IN EQUIATOMIC NiTi - ALLOYS

Abstract
Neutron diffraction spectrums of the different phases found in binary NiTi alloys are presented. From these measurements it is possible to separate the influence of precipitates and to differentiate between different proposed models for the martensitic structure. No extra peaks due to the R-phase are observed.
