Abstract
The two main noise contributions to quartz frequency standard instabilities are 1/f2 and 1/f frequency noises. 1/f2 frequency random walk is correlated with temperature fluctuations through temperature gradients. 1/f noise level depends on the resonator Q-factor as it follows from experimental data at room and low temperatures. A first theoretical interpretation of this dependance is proposed.
