LATTICE DYNAMICS OF THE CUBIC-TETRAGONAL PHASE TRANSITION IN KNb0₃

Abstract
The dynamical properties in the cubic and the tetragonal phases of KNbO₃ are described on the basis of the same shell model. Calculations clearly show the strong influence of the intraionic oxygen polarizability on the ferro electric mode behaviour in both phases.
