Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to compare the internal friction behaviour of Fe-Ni-C hydrogenated specimens and of hydrogen free specimens when reheating from 77 to 300 K the recently quenched structure. Cathodic hydrogen charging was done in the austenitic phase at high temperatures with a recently developed method using molten salts. A new peak ( called [MATH] peak) appears at about 150 K (in the 1 Hz frequency range) in hydrogenated specimens.
