WAVE PROPAGATION IN A CYLINDRICAL GEOMETRY

Abstract
The propagation of the normal modes in an ion-beam-plasma system and the ion-acoustic solitary waves is studied in a cylindrical double plasma device. After the fast ion-beam modes and ion-acoustic solitary wave concentrate at the center, density depressions emerge. These phenomena are in good agreement with the results of the computer simulation about the cylindrical ion-acoustic waves.
