THE CHANGE OF THE CONNECTIV1TY OF Bi ELECTRON FERMI SURFACE UNDER PRESSURE

Résumé
On a établi que sous l'influence de la pression hydrostatique la surface de Fermi des électrons (FSE) du bismuth passe d'une forme quasi ellipsoïdale à celle d'une "poignée". Le "col" des poignées diminue sous la pression et on observe la rupture de FSE en deux surfaces isolées induite par un champ magnétique élevé. On a démontré que le rapport des paramètres de la loi de dispersion de McClure Q222/ αv, est inférieur à 0,0005 unités atomiques.


Abstract
The transition of the Bi eletron Fermi surface (EFS) from ellipsoidal to dumb-bell shaped and then to a doubly connected shape under hydrostatic pressure has been established. For the pressure at interval, in which the "neck" cross-section becomes quite small, a change of the connectivity of the EFS induced by magnetic field is observed. The ratio Q222/ αv of McClure's dispersion law parameters has been found to be less than at least 0,0005 at.units.
