Résumé
Les propriétés optiques des oxydes peuvent être modifiées par l'application d'un traitement électrochimique anodique ou cathodique. De tels traitements modifient aussi le comportement du système métal-oxyde électrolyte dans les réactions électrochimiques qui impliquent un transfert d'électrons à travers l'oxyde. Des corrélations entre ces modifications des propriétés optiques et électrochimiques des oxides sont décrites pour différents types d'électrodes. Des mesures combinées réflectométriques et ellipsométriques ont été utilisées pour caractériser les propriétés optiques des oxydes.
Abstract
The optical properties of oxides may be altered by the application of electrochemical anodic or cathodic treatments. Such treatments also affect the behaviour of the metal-oxide-electrolyte system in electrochemical reactions which involve electron transfer through the oxide. Correlations between such modifications of optical and electrochemical properties of oxides are described, for noble as well as electropositive electrode materials. Combined Ellipsometric and Reflectometric measurements were used for the optical characterization of the oxides.
