Abstract
Fe1/3TaS2 is a ferromagnetic intercalation compound. Band structure calculations show various deviations from the rigid band model. We suggest that the measured Kerr spectrum is due to four transitions with paramagnetic line shape from states situated near the Fermi level to higher lying Ta-states.
