MAGNETOELASTIC RESONANCES IN EPITAXIAL GARNET FILMS

Abstract
The influence of the magnetoelastic interaction on the ferrimagnetic resonance in magnetic garnet films is discussed and compared with theory. At low excitation levels this interaction gives rise to a broadening of the linewidth. At high levels instability oscillations of the magnetization are coupled to elastic resonances so that the transition to chaotic behaviour is hindered.
