Abstract
A series of new compounds derived from the β'' alumina-like ferrite (Na, K)1+x Fe11-xMexO17 (Me = Co, Ni, Zn) and (0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.9) has been obtained by ion exchange, using molten salts of Li and Ba. Synthesis reactions, crystal structure and magnetic properties of the spinel Li0.75Fe4.75Zn0.5O8 and of the barium rich M-type hexaferrites Ba1.25Fe10.5Me0.25O17.25 (Me = Co, Zn) have been studied.
