Abstract
Bound magnetic polarons (BMP) resulting from exchange coupling between Mn++ ion spins and anisotropic hole of an acceptor in hexagonal CdMnSe are studied through time resolved donor-acceptor luminescence. A crystal-field model is used to fit the temperature dependent binding energy and the potential barrier for orientational relaxation.
