Abstract
In sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets different Nd2Fe14B grain boundaries are observed and classified according to morphology, composition and phases present. Compositional defect surface layers of Nd2Fe14B grains, eutectically formed from the Nd-Fe-B-O liquid phase, are cured during annealing which results in a higher coercivity.
