LOW-TEMPERATURE HEAT CAPACITY STUDIES OF THE MAGNETICALLY ORDERED COMPOUNDS ErMn2Ge2 AND ErCo2Ge2

Abstract
Specific heat and the resistivity of the ErCo2Ge2 and ErMn2Ge2 compounds have been studied. Magnetic phase transitions are observed at temperatures 4.9 K and 5.1 K for ErCo2Ge2 and ErMn2Ge2 respectively. From the low-temperature data of the heat capacity measurements the values of magnetic moments have been estimated.
