Abstract
In this paper, we proposed a simple method of studying the dye stability by solving the dye in a transparent polymer matrix and observing the changes in colour, transparency and free radical contents appearing as a result of laser irradiation either heating in platelets of the solidified solution. Our study proves that PMMA platelets tinted with methyl red can be applied, among others, to modulate, mix and detect light beams.
