Abstract
Holeburning and optically detected nuclear magnetic resonance techniques were used to characterize the hyperfine coupling in a Eu3+ center of C3V symmetry. The hyperfine splittings and effective magnetic moments in the 7F0 and 5D0 states, as well as the quadratic Zeeman shift of the 7F0↔5D0 transition have been satisfactorily analyzed.
