Abstract
Results of measurements of the magnetic susceptibility, electrical conductivity and thermopower are interpreted with the help of bond equilibrium theory. It is found that an attractive interaction enhances formation of diatomic molecules containing onefold bond defect atoms attached to M atoms. Transport occurs in an acceptor band at y ≥ 0.02, and the temperature dependence of the conductivity of this band indicates that a large fraction of the ion pairs are in binary clusters.
