PRESSURE CELLS AND A HYDRAULIC PRESS WORKING DOWN TO 10 mK.

Résumé
Nous décrivons d'une part des cellules haute pression permettant de thermaliser à 8 mK des échantillons radioactifs soumis à des pressions allant jusqu'à 20 kbar, d'autre part une presse hydraulique d'un diamètre extérieur de 50 mm, permettant, à 150 mK, d'exercer des charges allant jusqu'à 1.2 x 103 kg.
Abstract
We have developed high pressure techniques connected with dilution refrigerators down to 8 mK. We present here two complementary aspects of this work : i/ pressure cells able to maintain, on solids, pressures up to 20 kbar in an experimental diameter of 3 mm, for an over all diameter down to 10 mm ; ii/ a hydraulic press used down to 10 mK developing loads up to 1.2 x 103 kg and having an external diameter of 50 mm.
