Abstract
Structuralism is a significant intellectual movement. Material structure, which underlies ail intellectual structure, begins with the geometry of space and the division of space into regions. Recently, developments have taken place in the mathematical world which, with the aid of computer graphics, have enabled the ideas of classical crystallography to be much extended by the incorporation of curved 2-dimensional manifolds or interfaces.
