Abstract
We present here experimental observations of satellite structure to the 1s2- 1s2p resonance lines of He-like Aluminium emitted from short pulse (20psec), dense (ne~1023/cm3) laser produced plasmas. A Johann type PET (002) crystal spectrometer with high resolving power was used to make accurate line intensity measurements, which have given estimates of the electron temperature and density for these plasma conditions. The results are compared with theoretical calculations.
