REENTRANCE BEHAVIOUR AND MAGNETIC SHORT RANGE ORDER IN THE SPIN GLASS SYSTEM EuxSr1-xSySe1-y

Abstract
In the system EuSySe1-y the ferromagnetic and the antiferromagnetic phase line cross at a bicritical point y ≈ 0.1. We study the magnetic phase diagrams when substituting Sr for Eu for S-concentrations y close to 0.1. Reentrance behaviour of the spin glass state is only observed on the ferromagnetic side y > 0.1. The dynamical behaviour of ther spin glasses is very similar for y > 0.1 and y <, whereas a diverging nonlinear susceptibility for T → is found on the ferromagnetic side y > 0.1 only.
