Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility measurements have been performed on xMnO. (1 - x) [2B2O3.PbO] glasses with 0 < x ≤ 80 mol %. These data suggests that for x > 30 mol %, the manganese ions experience magnetic interactions. From Curie constant values and qualitative chemical analysis we have established that in these glasses Mn2+ and Mn3+ ions are present, which explains their magnetic behaviour.
