Abstract
Magnetization measurements and neutron diffraction experiments on single crystals of α-Mn1.07Co0.93SiO4 and α-Mn1.66Co0.34SiO4 show an antiferromagnetic order similar to that of α-Co2SiO4. As in the Co-compound the magnetic moments are aligned almost collinear to the b-axis. The Néel temperatures are higher than those of the end-member compounds.
