Abstract
Ce2Sn5 and Ce3Sn7, which are superstructures of CeSn3, present two different Ce sites. One, similar to the Ce site in CeSn3, is non magnetic ; the other is responsible for their magnetic properties, which can be well explained by a crystal field model. However, an extra reduction of the moment has to be introduced in Ce2Sn5.
