Abstract
NdSi2 is antiferromagnetic below 10 K, two crystallographic phases seem to exist for PrSi2, one being ferromagnetic. Heavy rare earth disilicides have modulated magnetic structures. The crystal field has been investigated, a sign reversal of the Bo2 term occurs between CeSi2 and NdSi2.
