Abstract
Temperature induced ferromagnetism in Y2Ni7 is not explained by existing theories where the free energy is expanded in even powers of magnetization. The Fermi liquid model is shown to explain essential features of temperature induced ferromagnetism because of the logarithmic temperature- and magnetization dependence of the free energy arising from the Fermi liquid effect.
