FORMATION AND GROWTH OF CLUSTERS AND ULTRA FINE PARTICLES ON SOLID SURFACES

Abstract
A short review of experiments using FIM and STM to investigate clusters and ultra fine particles, and a theory of formation and growth of them in a semiconductor or dielectric matrix or on a substrate are presented. Conditions of epitaxial growth deduced from this theory are also presented in this paper.
