Abstract
Close on 290 participants, representing 16 countries, convened in Paris for this Fourth International Aluminium-Lithium Conference. Over the three days, a total of 120 papers (42 presented orally and 78 presented in poster sessions) from nearly all the major aluminium producers, aircraft manufacturers, university research laboratories or laboratories from the public sector, provided an overview of the present state of research and development in the field of aluminium-lithium alloys.
