Abstract
A model is presented for thermally activated dislocation motion in concentrated alloys. It takes into account the extra friction exerted by the weaker obstacles when a stronger obstacle is overcome. It predicts an internal friction behavior which is strongly dependent on temperature, frequency, concentration, and strain amplitude.
