Abstract
Acoustic emission studies on low-dimensional conductors 1T-TaS2 and (TaSe4)2I have been performed to investigate the possibility of detecting CDW (Charge Density Wave) transitions. The acoustic emission due to the CDW transition was observed just only at the transition temperature in 1T-TaS2, but it was detected above the transition temperature in (TaSe4)2I. The existence of the CDW domains was also discussed.
