Abstract
A new interpretation of the broad asymmetric hydrogen peaks observed experimentally in amorphous Pd80Si20 and Pd-Cu-Si is given on the basis of the relaxation theory with infrared divergence. Both true and apparent activation energies have been obtained rather simply. Thus, the short-range diffusion mechanism of hydrogen is shown.
