Résumé
La caractérisation de la diffusion aux joints de grains, en particulier par radiotraceurs, fait intervenir une largeur moyenne apparente du joint. Ce concept est resté très longtemps sans définition précise, génant alors les interprétations physiques. Cet article a pour but de décrire l'évolution des idées dans ce domaine, les erreurs qui ont pu être commises et de donner les concepts les plus récemment proposés.
Abstract
Characterisation of grains boundary diffusion, particularly by radiotracers, takes into account an apparent medium width of the boundary, which has been during a long time without an adequate definition, restraining the physical interpretations. The aim of this paper is to describe the evolution of concepts in this domain, the incorrect analysis on the subject and some new ideas given during last years.
