Abstract
Recent experiments have demonstrated that atomic hydrogen gas can be stored for long periods of time at low temperatures using liquid helium coated containers. This article summarizes the properties of this gas relevant to the operation of a cryogenic maser, and then makes a preliminary analysis of the expected performance of such a maser.
