FREQUENCY CONTROL AND FREQUENCY MODULATION OF FAR INFRARED LASER BY STARK EFFECT

Abstract
The radiation emitted by optically pumped Far infra red Lasers can be phase modulated and frequency tuned by means of the Stark effect on the active medium. Strong laser lines from CH3OH can be directly frequency locked to CO2 stabilized laser lines by using MIM diodes.
